OpTic Gaming are back on top after Week 6 of the Call of Duty World League

Going into Week 6 of the Call of Duty World League Pro Division, four teams were tied for first place. Following this week’s action, returning champions OpTic Gaming pushed their way to the front.

In the first Week 6 match, 100 Thieves debuted their new roster with Aches and Remy alongside Nelson and Royalty. While Hardpoint went in 100 Thieves’ favor, the rest of the series, unfortunately, did not. H2K took the next three maps to win the series 3-1.

Next up, Dream Team vs. eLevate: Dream Team was coming into this match after a hot 3-0 win over H2K in Week 5. However, eLevate were in full control in the first two maps, winning S&D Game 2 6-0. Dream Team took Uplink and CTF, and the series went to a Game 5. eLevate proved their strength in S&D and won the series 3-2.

In the third match, Team EnVyUs came out in full swing against Rise Nation. Although the series started off in Rise’s favor, EnVyUs did not back down. They took Uplink, CTF, and Game 5 S&D and won the series 3-2.

Even after making a roster change - bringing Parasite on in place of Nameless - compLexity were unable to make anything happen in their match against Cloud9. Cloud9, playing once again with a different than usual lineup, dominated and won the series 3-1.

In the final match of the night Luminosity, with Nameless joining in place of Teepee, won their series vs. Team SoloMid 3-0.

Day 2 of Week 6 went by as expected. Starting off the night, both Luminosity and Rise won their series 3-1 versus Cloud9 and H2K, respectively. TSM, on the other hand, continued to struggle. With over half of Stage 2 now complete, TSM sits in last place after losing 0-3 to FaZe.

OpTic went up against Dream Team in the fourth match of Day 2. Dream Team was one of the two teams to hand OpTic a loss in Stage 1; however, OpTic did not allow a repeat of that. They won Hardpoint and S&D, but DT fought back to take a very close Uplink match 7-6.

The series ended in CTF, with OpTic winning 4-2 after a clutch return from Karma.

The final match of Day 2 was EnVyUs vs. compLexity. This series was a big upset, as compLexity were finally able to show off the potential of their new roster, winning the series 3-1.

This week’s off-stream match was eLevate vs. 100 Thieves. It was a close series, but in the end, eLevate won it 3-2.  A VoD will be available on the Call of Duty YouTube channel shortly.
