The ESL Arena at gamescom hosted the Halo 5: Guardians invitational which showcased the game’s competitive features and the dynamic gameplay. Three European and one North American teams clashed on the stage to battle it out for €7,000 in prize money. With none of the participants having prior experience with the maps the games were set to take place on, we were bound to see tons of exciting Halo action - and so we did!

The two semifinals were played in a best-of-three format and unfolded as follows:

Supremacy
The grand final came down to Europe’s finest, Supremacy and Epsilon eSports. The games were exciting and action-packed with both teams going neck-and-neck throughout the whole series. Supremacy and Epsilon took the matchup into five full games with Epsilon eSports coming out on top and grabbing the Halo 5: Guardians gamescom championship and the check for €7,000.
