After the initial announcement of the Xbox Arena at E3 earlier this year, we’re excited to finally launch the brand-new esports tournament platform which will be available across Xbox consoles, Windows 10 PCs, Android and Apple iOS. The new features will allow competitive players and teams to browse through and sign-up to a variety of online competitions.
Thanks to the built-in Xbox Arena tools, players will have a perfect overview over their team’s sign-ups, match fixtures and results while allowing them to play straight from the from within the Arena app. The new platform will be supported by Xbox system updates and Xbox live upgrades such as the “Looking for Group” tools, an increase in servers and the introductions of clubs which will help create and foster communities.
To kick things off we’ll start with our European 1v1 Community Cup for Injustice 2, set to take place this Sunday, September 24th and 19:00 CEST. This will be an ongoing competition with two tournaments per week, Thursdays and Sunday at 19:00 CEST and in October the NA portion of the cup will follow suit with match days every Wednesday and Sunday.
