Last week was the penultimate match day for the GameStop Hometown Heroes: Injustice 2 regular season, and we went back to Los Angeles to watch their best players battle it out. The SoCal players have had weeks to scope out the talent within the other regions, and the best matches from the week make it apparent that they’ve been taking notes since Week 1.
In a scramble to victory and a Game 5, it was Emperor Flappy who was able to secure his spot in the winner’s finals with Batman against Krayzie’s Supergirl.

A Batman mirror match and a relentless 3-0 meant Acid FGC moved on in loser’s bracket, sending Cheeko back home.

Pretty Flocko, who pushed his way through the bracket from the bottom, took EGP Krayzie to his second Game 5 of the night. Much like the first, he was knocked down, and Flocko took the victory for himself.
