Shortly after Triggers Pound qualified for the Halo World Championship with a top eight finish at the Halo World Championship Tour: Columbus, Cloud9 acquired the team. Check out their team profile as they prepare to go up against the best of the best in Hollywood.
ESL: What is your team's strongest/weakest map?
C9: Our best two maps are Coliseum and Rig. Our weakest is Eden Strongholds.
ESL: In your opinion, what is the best Spartan ability and what’s the best way to use it?
C9: Thruster Pack is the best because it lets you make split-second decisions to outplay or outmaneuver your opponent.
ESL: What was the greatest obstacle your team had to overcome in order to qualify for worlds?
C9: Our greatest obstacle was having to beat Optic to make it out of our pool and also the fact that we formed very late into the season, so it took awhile to get used to each other.
ESL: What part of your game does your team have to improve on most in order to win?
C9: Using better communication and making coordinated plays together. Also controlling power weapons.
ESL: Which team are you most excited to play? Least excited to play?
C9: We are most excited to go up against Epsilon as they are regarded as one of Europe’s best teams. It also will most likely be a huge deciding match for who makes it out of our pool. We are east excited to play vs CLG. We have to play them in our pool as well and as of recently they’ve just been on a tear, crushing everyone. We have to be on point to beat them.
The Halo World Championship will happen live in Hollywood, California on March 18-20 where 16 teams from around the world will compete for the title of Halo World Champion and a share of the $2,500,000 prize pool.
