The second week of the European Qualifier for ESL One Frankfurt has begun! Yesterday we saw Fnatic taking on Duza and MeetYourMakers heading off against Monomaniacs. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the match between Cloud 9 and Sigma.int could not continue. ESL would like to clarify the situation.
Sigma.int will no longer be participating in the ESL One Frankfurt European Qualifier. This is due to internal changes that mean the team no longer has a full lineup and thus cannot participate in the tournament in a proper manner.
ESL has decided not to replace Sigma.int in the Qualifier but instead void their matches and continue the group with three teams. This option allows us to continue the tournament without causing scheduling issues for any of the teams involved. The tournament format will still ensure the three strongest teams will qualify for Frankfurt, even if one slot gets removed.
The tournament continues today with three great matches. Today's schedule is as follows:
- 16:00 CEST - rox.KIS vs. Relax
- 18:00 CEST - Team Dog vs. Relax
- 20:00 CEST - Empire vs. Monomaniacs
