In co-operation with Smilegate Entertainment, we are excited to bring the Crossfire Invitational to Manila. On the 15th and 16th of October, the Philippines will play host to the $30,000 tournament which will see four of the best teams from the world compete in the SMX Convention Center Hall 3 in Manila.
The Crossfire Invitational is a tournament which was first launched last year in Brazil and Vietnam and we are now ready to take the next step and bring the competition into iconic venues around to word, starting with the Philippines.
Brady Yeo, Smilegate Entertainment eSports general manager, had to following to say about bringing ESL on board:
“The CFS INVITATIONAL was created to expand tournaments within Crossfire to bring enjoyment to global fans. Smilegate Entertainment will put its utmost effort to develop Crossfire esports by expanding its tournaments in cooperation with global eSports organizers like ESL.”
The four teams consist of one team each from Brazil, China, Philippines and Vietnam, the four countries where Crossfire Pro Leagues are currently running.
The teams are determined as follows:
- China - champion of CFEL
- Vietnam - champion of CFEL
- Philippines - champion of CFEL
- Brazil - to be determined this weekend via qualifiers
