ESL is excited to reveal details of the ESL Mobile Open Europe & MENA Season 2. It builds on the huge success of 2019’s Season 1, which saw over 500,000 participants in total, by expanding to include competition in the MENA region as well as Europe.
The tournament will also double the gaming titles in Season 2, with the online esports tournament featuring Asphalt 9, Auto Chess, Clash of Clans and PUBG Mobile. Players will compete for a €85,000 prize pool.
Online qualifiers will span from October 12th - November 1st, with play-ins spanning from November 6th to 8th. The final online event will then run on November 13th, 14th and 15th. The tournament will be played entirely online and on mobile devices, and the action will be streamed online from ESL’s Katowice studio with talent onsite for fans to enjoy.
Oliver Maxield, Senior Global Product Manager at ESL, said: “We’re very excited to build on the success of 2019’s Season 1 by expanding ESL Mobile Open into the MENA region for 2020, while continuing to expand in Europe. We have also introduced the game titles Auto Chess and Clash of Clans. The bar for success is high, but Season 2 will be bigger and better than its predecessor and we wish the players the best of luck in the competition.”
