August has just started and this means you got more than enough time to get competing in ESL’s various Go4 tournament series. Offering open cups every Sunday leading up to the prized monthly finals, these cups can be anything from a training session for you and your team up to a regular chance to play the cream of the crop in your region for prize money!
Running for years and offering a variety of games to compete in, the Go4 tournaments have been a good place for new players to break through and make themselves a well-known name. When taking a look at the current top teams in many games, some of the super stars have started in Go4 tournaments and worked their way to the top of the scene.

Some of star players and teams are competing in the big tournaments of gamescom 2016, the Heroes of the Storm Global Circuit Fall Europe Regional or the Overwatch Atlantic Showdown. We spoke with Stalk of GIZ and Morte of REUNITED, both taking part in the US$100,000 tournaments at gamescom next week.
Alexander “Stalk” Melder of GIZ, playing the Heroes of the Storm Regional at gamescom:
“It’s pretty important to start playing in a tournament like Go4Heroes for any team. Every team that you see in the pro scene started in the Go4. It’s a good tournament start your team practice in. You might even go on to Blizzcon at some point.”
Thomas “Morte” Kerbusch from REUNITED, playing the Overwatch Atlantic Showdown:
“The Go4 tournaments are great for upcoming talent, it’s a proving ground where rising teams can get spotted!”
