After a successful run on Hearthstone and Overwatch, ESL King of the Hill is turning its attention to Street Fighter V. The month-long tournament series will pit Northern California against Southern California in a weekly first-to-ten bracket beginning on October 18. Invited players will head to the ESL Studios to represent SoCal and NorCal to determine the Street Fighter V king of California. All the action will be hosted by the talented commentators of UltrachenTV.
THE FIRST KING
ESL King of the Hill for Street Fighter will kick off on October 18 with two players from NorCal and two representatives from SoCal battling it out to be crowned the first king. Whoever earns or defends the ESL King of the Hill title will take home $500, pride for their home turf, and a spot in the next week’s tournament.
FORMAT
For the following three weeks, a representative from NorCal and SoCal will travel to the ESL Studios in Burbank, California and battle to move on and fight whoever is the reigning champion. All ESL King of the Hill matches for Street Fighter will be first-to-ten, with the winner staying on their current character and the loser having the option to change.
