We love Music. And we love Games! That's why we want to find and support artists that can give you the perfect for your gaming experience. Artists that give you all the chills, all the feels and all the HYPE! This time we introduce TheFatRat.
Hello TheFatRat. Who are you and where are you coming from?
My name is Christian Buettner, but people have been calling me TheFatRat since school. I’m based in a small university town called Göttingen in Germany. Been producing music since 2001 but in the beginning I only produced for other artists. It took me 10 years to realize that it’s much more fun to do your own thing.
Describe your music with three attributes:
Ze german disco brazza in da glitchy electro house.
Tell us about your connection to the gaming scene:
I was always part of the gaming scene as a user. After all I started gaming in 1991 on Game Boy and have been a gamer ever since. But as an artist I never aimed for the gaming scene, I just made my thing. But I guess due to the fact that my body is 50% video games, the scene just picked me up. Then more and more people got aware of it and now I feel like I’m exactly at the right place with Enter Records.
What was your first game, what’s the latest & what’s your lonely-island-game?
The first game I had was Tetris, which came with the Game Boy, but the first I bought was Super Mario Land. I still play it through an emulator on PC once in a while. As for competitive games I’m into FPS. My fav is Rainbow Six: Siege. But recently I bought myself a Switch and right now I’m lost in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
What’s coming up next? Anything you would like to share here?
We’ll be doing a remix EP for “Chosen” and then of course moooooore music. I’ve spent most of the last year in the studio working on new songs and now I’m super excited to finally share them.
