With June the 28th fast approaching, ESL One Frankfurt already has two amazing teams attending and now six more will be joining them. To make sure only the strongest teams will be joining us at the event, ESL and joinDOTA have joined forces to create a balanced qualification system to ensure tough competition and epic matches.
This system is made up of two stages - an open bracket stage and a secondary stage that includes invited teams. The four strongest teams from the open bracket stage will join the invited teams in the second stage to decide who among them will attend ESL One Frankfurt.
EUROPE
For the European qualifier, the four teams advancing from the massive open bracket will be joined by twelve invited teams. These invited teams have each proved their strength in previous tournaments and, due to their tough professional schedules, we have offered them the opportunity to participate in the second stage of the qualifiers.
AMERICA
In the American qualifier, the four teams from the open bracket will be joined by four teams invited for the same reason as their European counterparts.
The European invited teams
- Empire
- Cloud 9
- Fnatic
