Team Immunity has been playing Halo competitively since 2011, and they qualified for the Halo World Championship by taking first place at the Halo World Championship Tour: Sydney. However, the number one seed from Australia / New Zealand has a tough road ahead, as they recently announced that their team captain Heff will be sitting on the sidelines due to a hand injury. They have drafted Teddy Joe “Junior” to take his place next week.
ESL: What is your team’s strongest/weakest map?
iM: Strongest: Regret Strongholds. Weakest: Eden Strongholds.
ESL: In your opinion, what is the best Spartan ability and what’s the best way to use it?
iM: Thrust: Mid gunfight, jump and change direction.
ESL: What was the greatest obstacle your team had to overcome in order to qualify for worlds?
Conflicting schedules and a very small pool of competitive teams has always been a struggle for Australia / New Zealand, which makes practice hard.
ESL: What part of your game does your team have to improve on most in order to win?
Communicating – ‘Small talking’
ESL: Which team are you most excited to play? Least excited to play?
Most excited: European teams. It has always been a toss-up between who is the best outside of NA.
Least excited: The team from Asia, don’t think they will stack up as well.
The Halo World Championship will happen live in Hollywood, California on March 18-20 where 16 teams from around the world will compete for the title of Halo World Champion and a share of the $2,500,000 prize pool.
