The third and final season of the 2014 StarCraft 2 WCS Challenger is right around the corner, and we're here to explain how to qualify in the Americas region.
The competition will be broken down into three total qualifier cups with two regional qualifiers and one ladder wildcard qualifier. Each are single elimination, with a maximum of 512 players able to compete.
From July the 15th, we will be running the regional qualifiers. These cups are region-locked to players in the North, South and Central America region, and you must fulfill the following criteria in order to play:
- You must be at least 13 years of age
- You must be at least Master League on the Americas server.
- You must be a United States, Canada or Latin American citizen or posses a working visa
- You must not be in the WCS America or WCS Europe Premier League (finished top 16 in Season 2)
- You must not have tried to qualify for WCS Korea Code B
- The top four players from each tournament will qualify for Season 3 Challenger

On July the 19th, there will be the ladder wildcard qualifiers. This cup is not region-locked, and you can play from any location as long as your Battle.net account meets the requirements of this tournament. The restrictions for this cup are as follows:
- You must be at least 13 years of age to
- You must be at least Master League on the Americas server
- You must have at least 200 wins on the Americas server in either 2014 Season 2 or Season 3
- The account you sign up and play with may NOT be a barcode
- You must not be in WCS America or WCS Europe Premier League (finished top 16 in Season 2)
- You must not have tried to qualify for WCS Korea Code B
- The top two players in the tournament will qualify for Season 3 Challenger

Check in for each cup starts - and signups close - one hour before the tournament is due to start (14:00 PDT/17:00 EDT). After you check in, join channel WCSAM1, WCSAM2 or WCSAM3 on Battle.net.
