The Guild Wars 2 Pro League Season 2 Finals are quickly approaching, and the glory of first place could be in anyone’s hands. Last season, we saw Rank Fifty Five Dragons sweep the competition, coming out on top as our first place team. Martin “Oracle” Mičiak, captain of the still undefeated team, gives us insight into how the competitive drive of the Pro League, as well as the threat of the other teams, has grown since last season.

ESL: As the reigning champs from the Season 1 Finals, do you feel like you’re entering the tournament with a target on your back?  
Oracle: We definitely feel the pressure to keep our title but we are very calm and confident.

ESL: How have you noticed the competition changing this season? Do you find that the teams are stronger this time around?
Oracle: The teams in general were much stronger this time around. In Season 1 it felt like it was just two teams - TCG and vM, who were actually tough to beat. In this season, all the games were quite challenging.

ESL: You guys came back from the Season 1 Championships and continued undefeated in the Pro League. Are there any teams you think may be able to give you a run for your money in the Finals?
Oracle: We consider everyone a tough opponent, but if we had to pick one team which is going to make it hard for us, it would be TCG for sure.
