We saw some truly excellent cosplay at last year’s ESL One Frankfurt, so we’re only too happy to announce that there will be another cosplay competition at ESL One Frankfurt 2015. With over €5,000 in prizes to be won including a cool €1,500 for the first place winner, it’s definitely worth a shot!

When and where?

The ESL One Frankfurt 2015 cosplay competition with take place on Saturday the 20th of June at the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt, with the prejudging also to take place in a separate area on this day. Please note that you need to purchase your own ticket to the event in order to enter, but special requests can be made by emailing [email protected].

Costumes

Your costume must be Dota 2 related and you must have made it yourself. Performances are not necessary for judging but judges will be closely inspecting each costume for craftmanship as well as asking you questions about the creation process.

Safety

For your safety and the safety of everyone else at the Commerzbank Arena, please keep the following in mind when preparing your cosplay:

• You must be able navigate stairs and ramps unassisted while in your costume
• Your costume can’t include liquids, gels or other substances which could cause a mess
• Your costume can’t involve any edged or blunt weapons made of metal or any type of heavy material
• Firearms of all kinds including air guns and other types of projectile weapon regardless of whether they are unloaded or non-functional are also banned. Bows must also be non-functional
• All weapons will be inspected when you enter the venue
