We are pleased to announce that Smilegate Entertainment’s FPS game CROSSFIRE will be a part of the IEM EXPO taking place during the second weekend of Intel Extreme Masters World Championship in Katowice, Poland. All weekend long, the IEM Expo will feature free-to-play zones, meet-and-greets with well-known influencers, concerts, raffles, with the CROSSFIRE tournament on Saturday, March 4th.
Smilegate and ESL have worked together before, hosting the CROSSFIRE STARS (CFS) Invitational Manila in the Philippines. Considering CROSSFIRE’s potential as a global esports title, we decided to continuously cooperate with Smilegate to develop its esports ecosystem.
“We are truly excited to team up with ESL once again after last year’s tournament in Manila. Expanding CROSSFIRE’s global coverage is essential for the growth of CROSSFIRE and we rest assured that ESL will be the right partner,” said Brady Yeo, esports manager at Smilegate.
Smilegate has been growing its competitive scene by organizing invitationals in addition to the major championship, CFS Grand Finals, as well as launching the pro league brand CROSSFIRE ELITE LEAGUE (CFEL) in several countries. With its presence at IEM EXPO, CROSSFIRE is looking to broaden its international scope and continue development as an esports title. More information about the tournament will follow shortly.
