ESL One will be returning with its Battlefield 4 Spring Season in February, with reigning champion Fnatic and their opponents to face off following some new year updates to the proceedings.
As well as a couple of tweaks to the tournament system, there will also more prize money per season as well as brand-new chances for you to get directly involved with ESL One.
Battlefield 4 isn’t only coming back for the spring season – ESL One will be bringing you three whole seasons in 2015 in total. However, the prize pool per season has been raised by €5,000, so there’s now €35,000 on the line for the best Battlefield 4 teams in Europe as well as North America and Oceania at the season finals. More details on how to qualify for North America and Oceania will be released in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
Is someone able to keep Fnatic from winning the third season in a row?
Alex “crtmN” Nehr, product manager at ESL, said of the ESL One Battlefield 4 plans for 2015:
“After a great year of action on the battlefield in 2014 and thrilling matches at each of the season finals, we are happy to continue to bring everyone even more competitive Battlefield 4 tournaments in 2015. The addition of North America will open up the competitive world for even more teams, giving them the chance to make it to the season finals to compete against Europe and Oceania.”
Three-time, back to back champion Fnatic as well as all the other teams known for entertaining Battlefield 4 fans around the world will start fighting for that €105,000 prize pool on Tuesday the 3rd of February, when the Spring Season Cup #1 is set to kick off.
