Teams can compete in six open cups held throughout May and June to finish top eight in their regional standings. In July, the top teams in Europe and North America will battle their way through a double-elimination tournament to qualify for the live championship in Los Angeles, California. Only two teams from each region will head to the live finals to battle for the Critical Ops Championship title and a separate prize pool to be announced at a later date.
The online portion of the Critical Ops Championship Series will run on the ESL Play platform and feature a prize pool of $6,500 and over 20,000 weapon cases. The competitive format will see significant changes from past Critical Ops tournaments, with five-on-five matches and a limit of one team per organization.
