Faze Clan 3 - 2 Mousesports
A hard-fought victory at ESL One Belo Horizonte puts Faze Clan just one win away from the biggest prize in esports. On Sunday June 17th the international squad secured their third Intel Grand Slam title by beating Mousesports in Brazil.
The start of the final was smooth for Faze, as they won Inferno easily (16-6). Then Mousesports fought back hard on Cache (16-14) and Train (16-12), forcing Faze to refocus. Mirage (16-6) went in their favor, forcing a fifth and deciding map that Faze ran away with (16-10).
Faze leader Finn "karrigan" Andersen lauded his opponent after celebrating the win on stage at the Minerinho stadium in Belo Horizonte. He was also clear in that Faze would use the advantage they had fought so hard to gain in Brazil.
Our team has been through so much this year. We have won two IGS with different standins. We will take the Grand Slam.
I knew coming into the event that I was going to deliver, and it was just about how much.
