Our diverse student population of 8,400 full and part-time students comes from 36 states and 48 foreign countries.

The Perfect Location

LIU Post is recognized as one the most beautiful - and safest - college campuses in North America. The 307-acre campus located in the suburban Village of Brookville, Long Island features historic mansions, green lawns and hillsides, flower gardens and 4,000 trees.

The campus has more than 55 buildings, including the B. Davis Schwartz Memorial Library, the Winnick Student Center, the Pratt Recreation Center and Tilles Center for the Performing Arts. The Klar Intercultural Student Center is a favorite spot for international students to meet one another and become involved in campus life.

Living at LIU Post

About 1,900 students make their home at LIU Post and reside in ten residence halls. They include three- and four bedroom suites and standard double and triple rooms. Our residential complex is located within easy walking distance of academic buildings, the student center, two dining halls and a spectacular recreation center.

Activities and Fun

We offer a large selection of on-campus activities with more than 500 events each year. LIU Post students run the Association for Campus Programming, which organize concerts, movie and comedy nights, barbecues, carnivals, ski trips, sports trips, and fashion shows. We have 80 clubs on campus, including the International Student Association, Psychology Club and the Student Government Association.

Recreation and Fitness

LIU Post's Pratt Recreation Center is a state-of-the-art health and fitness facility open to all students. You can swim in an 8-lane pool, lift weights, jog on the track, play racquetball, take aerobics classes, and watch high-action basketball games.
