NYU Spring in New York is a one-semester program for visiting college students.

NYU Spring in New York invites you to spend the spring semester (January 2012-May 2012) as a visiting student in one of the most exciting cities in the world. New York City offers you the best in museums, dance, film, libraries, concerts, plays, and galleries. Now is your chance to experience life in New York City while studying at New York University. At NYU, learning extends beyond the classroom. Your lectures and seminars will be complemented by the professional, academic, and cultural resources of New York City.
Choose from multiple programs of study that will allow you to earn credits toward your current degree program. You will choose courses from a preapproved list to meet your unique interests. By participating in the Spring in New York program, you will experience a different academic environment and energize your current studies while discovering all that New York City has to offer.

Student Events and Activities
As a Spring in New York student, you will have access to all the opportunities, organizations, and facilities available to New York University students. Spring in New York students are welcomed to New York University at a specialized orientation session, and students are invited to participate in a variety of social and cultural activities throughout the term.
Past Spring in New York events have included the following:
- Broadway musicals
- Ice-skating in Central Park
- A New York Yankees baseball game
- An opera performance at the Metropolitan Opera
- Film screenings
- Community service projects
Housing
All Spring in New York students are provided with on-campus housing and are required to live in one of NYU’s apartment-style residence halls.

Program Costs* (in U.S. Dollars):
* Full-time students, tuition, 12 to 18 points, flat rate: $18,933.00
* Nonreturnable registration and services fee for flat rate: $1,108.00
* Academic support fee: $25.00
* Additional fees may be associated with certain courses.
* Meal plans are optional. The cost of a meal plan ranges from $985.00 to 2,140.00.
Eligibility
College students who are in the process of earning a degree at an accredited college or university are eligible to apply for admission to the Spring in New York program. In order to be considered for admission, you must have completed at least one full year of on-campus college study and maintain a competitive grade point average.
All classes are taught in English; it is essential that students understand and be able to communicate in English. All international applicants (whose primary language is other than English) are required to submit an official TOEFL score report. Students who wish to come to NYU to improve their mastery of English should contact the American Language Institute at 212.998.7040.
Application Deadline
International applicants must apply by October 1, 2011. NYU Spring in New York practices rolling admissions, so the program may fill prior to the deadline. You are encouraged to apply early. Go online today!
